Welcome to Ledge Road Bakehouse. By placing an order, visiting our website, or picking up products from our property, you agree to the following terms and policies.
Cottage Food Operation
Ledge Road Bakehouse is a licensed Connecticut cottage food operation. Products are made in a Cottage Food Operation that is not Subject to Routine Government Food Safety Inspection
Product Availability
All products are made in small batches and subject to availability.
We reserve the right to modify, substitute, discontinue, limit, or cancel any product, menu item, promotion, or order at any time due to ingredient shortages, equipment failure, weather conditions, staffing limitations, supply chain disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
If an order must be canceled by Ledge Road Bakehouse, any payment received for unavailable items will be refunded at our discretion.
Orders
Submitting an order does not guarantee availability until the order is accepted and processed.
We reserve the right to refuse service, decline orders, limit quantities, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.
Prices, descriptions, product offerings, and availability are subject to change without notice.
Order Changes & Cancellations
Because products are made fresh to order, order changes and cancellations may not be accommodated after an order has been placed.
Ledge Road Bakehouse reserves the right to approve or deny any cancellation or modification request.
We reserve the right to cancel an order at any time due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to ingredient shortages, equipment issues, illness, emergencies, weather events, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Pickup Policy
Customers are responsible for arriving during the designated pickup window.
Orders not picked up during the scheduled pickup period may be considered abandoned.
Due to the perishable nature of our products:
- Missed pickups are not eligible for refunds.
- Missed pickups are not eligible for replacements.
- Ledge Road Bakehouse is not responsible for products left unclaimed after the pickup window has ended.
If you anticipate being late, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate late pickups but cannot guarantee availability.
Perishable Food Notice
All products are perishable and should be properly transported, stored, and consumed according to provided instructions.
Once an order has been picked up, responsibility for the products transfers to the customer.
Ledge Road Bakehouse is not responsible for product quality, freshness, spoilage, contamination, damage, or deterioration after pickup.
Allergens
Products are prepared in a home kitchen that processes common allergens, including but not limited to:
- Wheat
- Milk
- Eggs
- Soy
- Peanuts
- Tree nuts
- Sesame
While reasonable precautions are taken, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from cross-contact or allergen exposure.
Customers with food allergies, food intolerances, celiac disease, dietary restrictions, or other medical conditions consume products at their own risk.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and ingredient information prior to purchase.
Food Safety & Consumption Disclaimer
All products are sold as food products intended for consumption.
By purchasing from Ledge Road Bakehouse, customers acknowledge that food sensitivities, allergic reactions, digestive reactions, and individual responses to ingredients may vary.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ledge Road Bakehouse shall not be liable for illness, allergic reactions, food sensitivities, adverse reactions, injuries, damages, or losses arising from the consumption, handling, storage, transportation, or misuse of products after pickup.
Product Variations
All products are handmade in small batches.
As a result:
- Appearance may vary.
- Decorations may vary.
- Color, shape, texture, and size may vary.
- Seasonal ingredients may vary.
Such variations are normal and are not considered defects.
Property Access & Pickup
Customers entering the property for pickup do so voluntarily and at their own risk.
Visitors are expected to use reasonable care while entering, exiting, and moving about the property.
Customers should be aware of and exercise caution regarding:
- Uneven ground
- Gravel
- Steps
- Walkways
- Weather conditions
- Ice
- Snow
- Rain
- Natural outdoor conditions
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times while on the property.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ledge Road Bakehouse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:
- Orders
- Products
- Pickup activities
- Website use
- Property access
- Product consumption
- Storage or handling of products
By purchasing from Ledge Road Bakehouse, customers agree that any liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the product(s) purchased.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable Connecticut law.
Photography & Marketing
Ledge Road Bakehouse reserves the right to use photographs of products for marketing, advertising, website, and social media purposes.
Product appearance may vary from photographs shown online.
Changes to These Terms
Ledge Road Bakehouse reserves the right to modify these Terms & Policies at any time without prior notice.
Continued use of the website or purchase of products constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Policies.
